Dr. Nicole Salame, MD, FAAD

Dr. Salame’s expertise includes medical and surgical dermatology, lasers and energy-based devices, neurotoxin and soft tissue augmentation (fillers), skincare and cosmeceuticals, and both rejuvenation and prejuvenation. She provides a holistic and personalized clinical approach that treats skin from the inside out, incorporating science-backed skincare with injectables, lasers, and energy to provide a balanced and natural aesthetic.

Specialized Training

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Salame attended UCLA on a competitive scholarship where she graduated Cum Laude with induction into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honors Society for her excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. She earned her MD from UC Irvine where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and received an awarded for achieving the highest number of honors in her medical school class.

 Dr. Salame completed a research fellowship at the USC’s Department of Dermatology, specializing in clinical trials for psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. She went on to dermatology residency at Emory University where she served as Chief Resident of Cosmetics. She then earned the competitive American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) fellowship position at the prestigious SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts where she trained with pioneers in the field of lasers, cosmetics, and Mohs micrographic surgery.

Research & Academic Service

 Dr. Salame is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, serves on several committees for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and is an active member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and Women’s Dermatology Society. Dr. Salame is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Founding Member of the American Board of Medical Specialties. She has been a sub-investigator for numerous clinical trials and serves as a peer reviewer for Dermatologic Surgery and JAMA Dermatology. Her scholarly work has culminated in the authorship of over 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and more than 40 presentations at national conferences.
